Fast-forward one year
You built our first welding cobot cell and proved it out on a partner shop’s parts.
You wrote the per-weld-inch pricing the shop now pays by.
You taught their crew to re-teach it when the parts changed.
Now back to today. If you'd like this story to be yours…
Rennick
Rennick prices CNC parts in seconds and makes them in Canadian shops. We're building a network of those shops that shares work, metal, people and training, and we don't turn people away: if we can't hire you today, we'll help you get where you're going.
The role
We supply robot cells to partner shops and charge by the hour, by the weld inch or by subscription. You make the cells work: you design them, install them, prove them out and keep them running.
You’ll also lay out how automation fits into shops that have never had it.
What you'll do
- Design welding and machine-tending cells around real parts
- Specify cobots, fixtures, safety and controls
- Install, program and prove out cells at partner shops
- Train shop crews to run and re-teach them
- Measure cell output and set the price per hour and per inch
- Keep cells running: support, spares, fixes
What you bring
- A degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Programming industrial robots or cobots (Universal Robots, Fanuc, ABB)
- Fixture design in CAD
- Machine safety (CSA Z434, risk assessment)
What sets you apart
- Robotic welding
- CNC machine tending
- PLC programming
- You’ve worked in a machine shop

How we hire
A call, an interview about things you've actually done, a paid hands-on test for the last few people, then references and an offer. Background checks come only after an offer, and only the ones this job needs. AI helps us read applications; it never scores or rejects anyone. We answer every applicant.
